Using Freight and Flatbed Wagons in Wild West Wargame Scenarios
 
Alright, picture this: a dusty railroad freight wagon, its doors creaking open, stacked high with crates of stolen goods. In a wargame scenario, this wagon could serve as a prime target for outlaws aiming to pull off the heist of the century. The freight wagon, being fully loaded, often becomes a key objective, where attackers must break in, loot the supplies, and haul them off before the cavalry arrives. Or maybe it's the defenders' job to hold this wagon, using it as cover while waiting for reinforcements.
 
Now, on the other hand, there's the flatbed wagon - basically an open stage for fast-moving action. With no walls or roof, it's the perfect spot for dramatic shootouts, where there's nothing to hide behind but a few barrels or tied-down goods. The flatbed, often carrying heavy machinery or supplies, might also double as a makeshift blockade, slowing down an enemy advance. And frankly, the flatbed's openness usually means it's a spot for dangerous high-speed chases, where characters leap from wagon to wagon in a race against time.

 

Of course the flatbed could hold an early macgine gun or light artillery for some heavy duty warfare - or protection of the gold bullion inside the covered wagon.

The kit is made from MDF which takes most paints very well.  I have used acrylic hobby paints, finger paints, spray paint even household emulsion.   The Wild West is built of wood and the MDF wood finish looks great right from the start.
