Wild West Railroad Caboose
Price: $18.85
Wargaming with a Wild West Railroad Caboose: Endless Tactical Possibilities
Imagine a dusty, sun-bleached railroad caboose sitting at the end of your train, a little worn and weathered but still holding its own. In a wargame scenario, this caboose could be the perfect spot for an intense last stand. It's typically the final line of defense, where a lawman and his deputies might hunker down, defending their position as outlaws attempt a daring train robbery. Or, maybe it's a hideout, where those outlaws stashed their loot, forcing the heroes to breach it as part of the final push to reclaim stolen treasure.
As a matter of fact, its removable roof makes for easier access to the action inside, which tends to create dynamic and close-quarters combat. You might use it as a mobile command center, where your characters plan their next ambush or escape route. And honestly, the fact that it's the last car of the train adds a layer of tension - there's nowhere else to run. In short, the caboose could be that one piece of terrain that swings the tide of battle, whether it's a place to hold or a trap to spring.

Bring the thrill of the Old West to your wargame table with these MDF railroad wagons, part of an expanding train set. Each wagon, crafted for skirmishes in 28mm to 32mm, comes with moving wheels that roll easily and rails that snap into place. You can take off the roof, which gives you clear access to the interior, perfect for ambushes or sneak attacks during gameplay. The wagons, as a matter of fact, fit right into the rest of the train set, making it easy to extend your battlefield with as much railroad as you need. In a way, these wagons tend to feel like the heart of the scene, where outlaws might be plotting a heist or lawmen planning their next move.
Ok, so, the MDF material is durable and just sturdy enough to handle intense sessions, yet light enough to move around with ease. You'll find that putting them together is simple, meaning you can get them set up in no time. Frankly, it's almost like stepping back in time to the Old West!
Construction:
Building this laser-cut Wild West structure is an enjoyable and straightforward process, perfect for both beginners and experienced hobbyists. The kit includes detailed, step-by-step instructions that clearly guide you through each stage of construction, showing the necessary components and the finished result. Minimal glue is required - just a little PVA, wood glue, or stationery glue works well. Using a sharp knife to carefully remove parts from their sprues ensures clean assembly. The easy-to-follow instructions combined with precise laser cuts make for a satisfying build, resulting in a highly detailed and immersive model for your tabletop Wild West town.
There are full, detailed instructions.
